Morning Coffee

Coffee has always been important in my life, my grandfather migrated from Spain to have a better life for his parents and siblings, coming to work at a coffee farm.

By the time I was born, we lived in a coffee farm, I remember playing with my brother on the benefit of coffee, horseback riding in the flowering of coffee and the aroma at home every morning when they prepared the essence; each time it was a different aroma, but always unique.

For 18 years I have had a cup that I bought in NZ, which reminds me of the courage I had and the freedom that I allowed myself.

Every morning I take 10 to 15 minutes in silence with her, I feel, I breathe, and I get involved in that feeling of peace and tranquility.

This ritual has been my strength to start the day.

So, sometimes in some paint blends I made for some of my paintings, I have the mischievousness of adding a pinch of brown color or coffee to make them strong and unique.

Café de la Mañana

El café siempre ha sido importante en mi vida, mi abuelo migró de España para tener una mejor vida para sus padres y hermanos, viniendo a trabajar a una finca de café.

Para cuando yo nací, vivíamos en una finca de café, recuerdo jugar con mi hermano en el beneficio de café, las cabalgatas a caballo en la floración del café y el aroma en casa cada mañana cuando preparaban la esencia; cada vez era un aroma distinto, pero siempre único.

Desde hace 18 años tengo una taza que compré en NZ, la cual me recuerda el valor que tuve y la libertad que me permití.

Cada mañana me tomo de 10 a 15 minutos en silencio con ella, siento, respiro y me envuelvo en ese sentimiento de paz y tranquilidad.

Siendo este ritual mi fortaleza para iniciar el día.

Por lo que a veces en algunas mezclas de pintura para algunas obras tengo la picardía de agregarles una pizca de color cafe o café para hacerlas fuertes y únicas.
